SPF: How much should you apply?

Posted by Atmosphera Beauty on

You might not carry a syringe or measuring spoon in your vanity bag, but you can gauge the amount of sunscreen you’re applying to your face by using your hands.

For the face, a common guideline is to use about two-finger lengths of sunscreen for maximum protection.

Apply sunscreen at least 15 minutes before sun exposure to allow it to be absorbed into the skin properly.

Reapplying your sunscreen is just as important as your first application. Especially if sweating or exposed to water.

Wearing sunscreen on your face is a critical step in preventing short and long-term sun damage, including burns and skin cancer. Reach for a mineral sunscreen with a SPF 40-50 for best protection.
